Badnews: So how did you get into music?

Amadeus: Well growing up my parents were music lovers so they exposed me to good music 24/7. Then I was blessed and went to catholic school and was introduced to the drums and I played them all day. And when I got into high school, I just started working on music and by the time I was 16 i just started doing it professionally.

Badnews: Now for those that don't already know you, can you name off who you worked with?

Amadus: Man I been doing this thing for years. I did tracks for Marcus Houston, 50 cent, Papoose, Foxy Brown, J.R. Writer, Jim Jones, Cam' Ron, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Faboulous, It's just a lot of artists but those are the ones I can think of right now (laughs)

Badnews: (laughs) Thats whats up. Well how did you get your foot in the door to even work with these diffrent artists?

Amadeus: It's real interesting, one of my CD's landed in Don Poole's lap; he is an A&R. He then gave the CD to Neucci Reyo. and the next thing you know I'm in the room with all these different A&R's and label reps so I just started to network with them, thats the most important thing I did that day because that's what lead me to start working with the artists on the major labels. You have to just stay in people's faces and keep working it took years but its paying off no question.

Badnews: Was it difficult to network several years ago then it is to network now?

Amadeus: I would say so. Now there are so many tools to use to get your name and material out there like myspace, twitter and facebook. There also these producer battles out here that definitely were not out there before. Back then when you knew somebody, you would have to work hard to get them to listen or pass your music off to the artist. But also back then it was a lot more intimate and more personal as to where now you can just send a blast off to everybody. But to answer your question, its was a lot harder back then, but it did pay off if you knew what you were doing.

Badnews: Ok. Now what do you have out there now that's fresh? You know the lastest thing you worked on we all would recognize?

Amadeus: Well two weeks ago, Bow Wow came out ( his latest album New Jack City Pt. 2) and I did the track for it and I was real blessed to have the song on it because it almost didn't make the cut. So Bow (Wow) put up a blog and asked the people to decide if it should be on the album, and next thing you know it made the cut. Mike Jones is getting ready to drop and I did a track for his album. I did a track for Paul Wall's new album that will be out May 12th. I also did two tracks for T.I., and Trina and I have something in the future with Keyshia Cole... Oh! And I did a track with my boy Red Cafe shout out to him.

Badnews: Man it sounds like 2009 is a real busy year for you (laughs). Working with all these artists, have you ever heard an artist just get on your track and you didn't like it?

Amadeus: That's a good question. At the end of the day there expresing  themselves. But there was on senario with a Foxy Brown record on the Cradle to the Grave soundtrack. I was disturbed with the delivery of the vocals on the track. And I explained to the reps why I wasn't really feeling it. But that's why you have to have the producer in the room. If you do have he producer in the room then that will always be a hard question to ask. But thats part of the reason why hip hop is flat right now. it's like everyone wants to work with pro tools and they dont want to sit in the studio and work on a good beat for hours anymore.

Badnews: So what I'm gathering from that statement is part of the reason why hip hop is flat is beause it seems like the producer has become...lazy?

Amadeus: Not really lazy, they just don't want to put the work in like we use to do back then. I'm not knocking producers now because that shit is working and you can't hate on that. But if it becomes more work oriented when producing a beat we would have a lot more classics rather than one hit wonders. So its not laziness, its just people are settled in... the artist is settled in. I don't know man, it's all crazy right now (laughs)

Badnews; No I hear you (laughs). Well other than producing, do you have anything else out there your working on like a imprint or artist?

Amadeus: We have a R&B singer by the name of Tiffany Mynon. She has the voice of an angel. She toured with everyone from Jay-Z to Erica Badu. She's been on (Jimmy) Kimmel and David Letterman. The world will find out about her in due time though, and it is worth the wait. I also have Platinum Boy Music with my team of writers and team of producers, so that's all going real smooth.

Bandews: That's good to know. Well when your not working what do you do to relax?

Amadeus: Man I'm a TV head (laughs). I love TV I can watch it for hours. I work all day then I get home about 8 or 9pm and watch TV heavy. I'm also into gaming too, I'll be on Xbox live playing. I don't really go out like that. I just stay at home, you can ask my wife (laughs). I guess my mom raised me that way.

Badnews: I know what you mean. Since you a TV head, what is your favorite TV or movie themes of all time?

Amadeus: Man that's a good question... I can't give just one I have to give at least three is that OK?

Badnews: Yeah that's fine (laughs)

Amadeus: OK. My top three: number one is the Scarface theme, then Mission: impossible and Beverely Hills Cop theme.

Badnews: That's a good list, you got to love Axel Foley (laughs). Now you have Platinum Boy Music, you have your artist, songwriters and producers and you even have Puffy's blessing but at the end of the day what do you want to accomplish from this career?

Amadeus: I want to be known as a good dude. I want to be known for my talent and integrity. I want to deliver that feeling that music gives people... that amazing feeling. There is more to this than money. Money is a bonus that takes care of my family. A lot of cats right now might not be best, but they conquer. I rather take years to gain respect I don't want to be a one hit wonder.
